As the final project presentations were underway, I couldn't help but feel impressed and inspired by the creativity and hard work that each group had put into their projects. The first day of presentations focusedon food-related projects, and it was truly a feast for the senses. Each group had prepared their own dishes, ranging from kimchi to soba and even homemade kombucha.
For week 8, I caught a bad flu so I missed the class. However, I heard Yama told me about the fascinating trip to visit the meteorite gallery on the South campus and the rooftop at Bolter Hall. Although I missed the class trip this time, it is lucky that I had a chance to see the mercury and moon in my freshman year in 2019 on the rooftop. It was for my EARTH, PLANETARY AND SCIENCE 9 class as a GE class.

On Tuesday, Yama and I began refining our project proposal into a more comprehensive and polished version. We decided that our final presentation would be a combination of cards that would function as divination tools and augmented reality when users scan the symbols on the cards. We plan to spend more time on 3D modeling and building more animated 3D scenes in the augmented reality.
On Tuesday, Iman Person. and Prof. Gimzewski led the class to show our proposal for the final projects. They provided useful feedback and suggestions to us.

On Tuesday, we are lucky to have Maryam Razi visiting our class as a guest speaker. She is a graphic designer, curator, and interdisciplinary researcher on topics of food, science design, and culture.

HOX Zodiac
This week, we gathered as a class to celebrate the Year of Rabbit, together with the HOX Zodiac professionals on zoom. Professor Vesna invited outstanding scientists in various fields, biologists, interdisciplinary research scholars such as James Gmzewski, Pat Badani, Alison Hiltner, Marta Menezes, and Santiago Torres. The six guest speakers, including Professor Vesna, are all in the year of rabbit.
This week's topic is bread, maize, and nano-world.
